He also revived a sick project called “West Wall Jetty” at Visakhapatnam and constructed a “Degaussing Basin”, first in India, at Vizag Port.

Col Tejandra Pal Tyagi was honoured with Er. Hari Memorial Award by the Institution of Engineers (India) for bringing out the relationship between the Magnetic field of the Earth and Cosmic Energy. Dr. Ashish Sharma is a Founding Director and CEO of an environmental sustainability consulting firm, Sustainability Alternatives registered in England and Wales (UK). He holds a PhD in civil and environmental engineering of The University of Surrey. His PhD thesis is titled as, “Quantification and mitigation of particulate matter exposure to young children”. He has been working for last 4+ years with the Global Centre of Clean Air Research (GCARE). His PhD research project, Mitigating Air Pollution Exposure Assessment of Young Children (MAPE) aims to develop novel exposure control methods for in-pram babies by creating a 'clean air zone' around them. Through laboratory and field investigations for both regulated (e.g., PM2.5, PM10) and unregulated (ultrafine particles) pollutants, he has developed a hitherto missing knowledge base for a low-energy, miniature, clean air system for removing gaseous pollutants and particles of varying size. During his PhD, he has produced 6 research articles in very high impact peer-reviewed scientific journals (e.g., Journal of Hazardous Materials, Impact Factor = 11). The outcomes of his research work have made a profound impact across air pollution in urban environments academic research, industry, and local communities in terms of the industrial application of the knowledgebase he has created for young children exposure and associated respiratory health effects. His research interest lies in broader themes related to environmental sustainability, air pollution management in urban environments, economic and health impact exposure studies. While my specific research expertise lies in development of measuring protocols in urban environments, meta-analyses, filtration facemask testing, exposure/risk assessment, economic and health impact assessment, and life cycle sustainability assessment.

In relation to his professional expertise, prior to joining the University of Surrey, he worked for 5 years as an environmental sustainability researcher with some prestigious research groups overseas at GIST (South Korea), The University of Toledo (USA), Macquarie University (Australia), and IIT Delhi (India). He has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and presented his research work internationally at international conferences, summits and seminars. An indicative listing of his international presentations includes the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Egypt and Brazil. In 2017, he delivered a talk on “Sustainable Transportation” at one of the biggest Smart Cities Conference held at New Delhi and "Quantification of air pollution exposure to in-pram babies and mitigation strategies" at Cambridge Particle Meeting 2019 hosted by the University of Cambridge Department of Engineering. Particularly, his research articles titled, “A review of factors surrounding the air pollution exposure to in-pram babies and mitigation strategies” and “Quantification of air pollution exposure to in-pram babies and mitigation strategies” had a huge impact and globally covered by numerous prestigious media outlets. His most recent article published in the Journal of Hazardous Materials (Impact actor=11) titled, “Quantifying efficacy of facemasks”, is the most downloaded article as of January 2022. In context of COVID-19, he co-authored a peer-reviewed scientific journal titled "Temporary reduction in fine particulate matter due to ‘anthropogenic emissions switch-off’ during COVID-19 lockdown in Indian cities", which got wide media publicity. For this study, he led the economic and health impact evaluation of COVID19-lock down related air quality improvements in Indian mega cities.

With an experience of around 10 years, he has developed solutions with novel technologies to benefit the environment. He was involved in executing large scale Wastewater treatment plants in the steel & textile industries. He is also an ISO14001 EMS lead auditor and improves environmental management systems for organizations. Currently, Ayyan is involved with Oizom in promoting IoT driven Smart & Affordable air quality monitors to almost 50 countries across the globe. He has led the development of these sensor-based systems, a calibration laboratory, and mass deployment in Smart cities.

As a founding member of the GRIHA Rating system, for more than a decade, Gaurav is a zealous promoter for the cause of sustainability in the built environment in India, both at academic and industry levels. Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM is a former Deputy Chief of Indian Army who is currently serving as the Governor of Uttrakhand. Mr.Shwetal Shah is the Technical Advisor – Climate Change for the Government of Gujarat, India. Climate Policy, Climate Actions, adaptation and mitigation strategies, climate finance are his areas of work and interest. He is spearheading activities of Climate Change Department viz. renewable energy policies, State Action Plan on Climate Change, Covenant of Mayors of Gujarat, Promotion of Electric Vehicles in Gujarat, National and International Collaborations and state-wide climate change awareness campaign.

The journey of SwatantraDev Singh started in 1988–99, Singh went on to become a member of AkhilBhartiyaVidharthiParishad (ABVP) and was made the General Secretary (Organisation) of the same. Between the period of 2004 and 2017, he was made the General Secretary thrice and Vice-President once. Him continuously having some responsibility or other in the party's organisation reflects his dedication and hard work.

He gained massive popularity when he was made main strategist and in-charge of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's political rallies in UP and Bihar during 2014 LokSabha elections. He managed huge political rallies with ease and the top leadership was always satisfied with his results.

SwatantraDev Singh was former Transport Minister with Independent Charge in Yogi Adityanath government after the BJP was elected with a huge margin in 2017 state assembly elections.[1] Singh made his presence felt during the 2019 LokSabha elections when he was made incharge of the party affairs in Madhya Pradesh. The party swept the polls winning 28 out of the 29 LokSabha seats.

Shabnam Bassi is a Fellow at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Secretary & Area Convenor with the GRIHA Council which administers the Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment. Prior to joining TERI she has worked with the United Nations Development Programmefor nearly 5 years as Assistant Project Manager.

She has been engaged to implement strategies to overcome barriers related to energy efficiency in buildings sector in the country by co-ordinated with the Central, State and Municipal bodies to facilitate ECBC integration, developed a framework to strengthen enforcement of ECBC Implementation and compliance. She has been the key person in developing rules and regulation for ECBC implementation and demonstration projects for ECBC compliance.

She has worked with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency for 5 years. She was associated with the scheme related to promotion and implementation of energy efficiency in commercial buildings through adoption of the Energy Conservation Building Code in the built environment. She has worked in close cooperation with various international agencies / experts in developing programmes related to enhancement of government policies for promoting energy efficiency in buildings.

She was the lead person for scanning of the developments in the Indian construction sector, particularly those related with building energy/green building. (events, projects, policy and regulatory developments). Apart of this, she has been in the Indian PMU on the development of templates for public buildings in collaboration with state governments.

Shivani Mehta is the co-founder and Head of Designs at bioQ eco solutions pvt.ltd. She's an Industrial Designer from the National Institute of Design. For more than 15 years, she was involved with management of Hazardous Chemicals and Wastes and was instrumental in notifying almost all the relevant rules mainlyon Management of Solid Waste, Plastic Waste, Bio- Medical Waste, C&D Waste, E-Waste, Utilisation of Fly Ash and Used Batteriesbesides, MSI Rules-1989, EPPR Rules-1996, HZW Rules-1989, PLI Act and Rules. She was the Member-Secretary of the Expert Groups constituted for finalizing all these Rules of 2016.She was the first one to introduce Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in Battery Management Rules and then in the rules on E-waste and Plastic waste. She has worked for more than 8 yrs in the field of Environment Impact Assessment and was Member Secretary of Expert Appraisal Committees (EACs) for River Valley and Hydro Power Projects and Thermal Power Projects for environment clearance.She assisted in notifying EIA Notification, 2006; has worked in Industries and Mining Sectors tooand has given more than 500 environment clearances.

She has been member of more than 60 Committees of various Ministries, including 8 committees constituted by NGT on waste management.

She has been abroad 18 times representing India for various meetings, including ISWA 2015(International Solid Waste Association) and presented Country Papers on Hazardous Chemicals and Waste and Solid Waste Management.

Presently, she is consultant to industries for Waste Management and Environment Impact Assessment and an empaneled NABET /QCI Assessor of environmental consultants.

Patricia A. Lacina, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, assumed the role of Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. on September 9, 2021.

From July 2018 until July 2021, she served as Consul General at the U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany. From 2015 to 2017, she served as Principal Deputy Executive Secretary in the Office of the Secretary of State. From 2013 to 2015, she served as Deputy Chief Information Officer for Business, Management and Planning and Chief Knowledge Officer. Patricia’s overseas assignments include Management Officer in Cairo, Deputy Director of Frankfurt’s Regional Support Center, and Director of Human Resources in both Vienna and Brussels. She has also completed tours in Buenos Aires, Nairobi, Moscow, Bogota, and Mexico City. Domestically, she also served in the Bureau of International Organizations Affairs as the Office Director of Global Systems.

Patricia holds a B.A. in Special Education and Spanish from the University of Northern Iowa and an M.A. in International Affairs from California State University at Sacramento. Originally from rural Iowa, Patricia is married to Carlos Zapata, who recently retired from the Foreign Service. Her daughter lives and works in New York City.

Reecha is also a building block of the newly established Global sustainability practice at IBM, wherein she leads this practice both from Sales and Delivery perspective. In her role, she works with the IBM Global Leadership teams to strategize and incubate sustainability offerings, build the practice, identify solutions and develop sustainability journey of the clients, and spearheads C-suite discussions with IBM clients. Besides, she also leads the discussions with the M&A team to build partnerships across the ecosystem of sustainability.

Swarandeep oversees the strategic direction of the fund. His primary responsibilities include sourcing and screening investment opportunities, ensuring investments meet financial and operating objectives. Swarandeep oversees the fund's portfolio, including Lets Dress Up (LDU), Glip, Plume Beauty, TravClan, InnerFit, Intents Mobi, and Recur Club.

Ms Aafrin Kidwai is a journalist with nearly two decades of experience in the print, television, and online news industry.

Since November 2019, she has edited solidwasteindia.com which focuses on managing solid waste in cities across India. Ms Kidwai has written extensively on issues related to environment and sustainability and is passionate about creating awareness on the subject.

For nearly a decade, Ms Kidwai hosted prime-time news shows on leading channels including Times Now and ABP News. Ms Kidwai is a Chevening Scholar and studied journalism in the UK. She also has a Masters’ degree in International Development from American University, Washington DC, also works as a writing/editorial consultant at The World Bank.

Ravi Kaushik is a graduate of IIT Bombay. With years of research, 3 patents and a motivation to bring the change Mr. Kaushik has executed R&D with IIT Kanpur, IISc Bangalore & IIT Bombay to develop germ destroying filters using the immune power of plants to replace germ-growing filters being used today. His innovation has been deployed at esteemed organizations like RBI, DST, Stockholding Corporation of India and Schindler Elevators. His research promotes 'Think in India' & 'Make in India'.

Mr Vikash Singhal is working as Sr. DGM/Environment of Delhi Metro and is responsible for managing the environmental aspects of all its activities.

He is a Civil Engineer with post-graduation in Environmental Engineering from the Delhi Technological University and possesses more than two decades of experience in the field of environment management.

Mr Singhal has been associated with the Delhi Metro for the last four years. Before joining Delhi Metro, he was working with the Dedicated Freight Corridor for eight years and with the Indian Railways and RITES for over 17 years. He brings with himself a rich repository of knowledge and experience in the field of railway engineering, environmental management, land acquisition, resettlement & rehabilitation etc. He played an instrumental role in getting the environmental clearance for the Delhi Metro Phase-IV project from JICA.

He has extensive experience with UNFCCC mandated CDM, The Gold Standard Foundation, relevant ISO Standards, International Environment Performance Standards, Green building, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy and Health Aspects.

Under his supervision, Delhi Metro has earned INR 19.5 Cr from the sale of carbon credits accrued from CDM projects under UNFCCC and Gold Standard projects in 2021.

His recent focus areas of work include health impacts from the transport sector, C&D management and green financing.

Dr Ajay Mathur is the Director General of the International Solar Alliance. He earlier headed The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), and the Indian Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), and was responsible for mainstreaming energy efficiency in houses, offices and industries through a number of innovative initiatives. He was a leading climate change negotiator, and was the Indian spokesperson at the Paris climate negotiations. He served as the interim Director of the Green Climate Fund during its foundational period.

At TERI, he has spearheaded the move to accelerate action towards a low-carbon and cleaner economy through the adoption of renewable energy in the Indian electricity sector, enhancing efficiency in buildings and industry, and promoting environmental quality through recycling of material wastes and biotechnology-based solutions. He also anchored the annual World Sustainable Development Summits during his tenure at TERI.

He was also member of Indian Prime Minister’s Council on Climate Change and co-chairs of the global Energy Transitions Commission.

Mr. Harsh Arya, is Mechanical Engineer from University of Delhi. He began his career with Larsen & Toubro Limited and joined Delhi Metro in 2010. He has multidisciplinary experience of over 12 years in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

Presently, working as a Manager / Electrical (Solar) and involved in Renewable Energy procurement for Delhi Metro from on-site and off-site renewable energy plants. These renewable energy plants include solar and waste to energy.

Divya is an economist with over 20 years of professional experience in environmental policy research and advocacy.

She is currently Programme Management Officer in UNEP’s India Office, where she oversees a wide-ranging agenda- covering climate change, pollution, resource efficiency, ecosystems and biodiversity- of UNEP’s India programme. This includes working closely with the central and state governments as well as development agencies and implementing partners on policy, outreach, and capacity building initiatives. Prior to joining UNEP, she worked with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) as the Director of the Integrated Policy Analysis Programme.

She has published articles and co-edited books on issues related to energy, environment, and resource federalism. She is a member of several advisory committees, including the Scientific and Technical Advisory Group for Environment Accounting constituted by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India.

Divya has a PhD in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and is a recipient of the Chevening Fellowship of the Government of UK.
